Muffin "Cat" Gorski was adopted in mid-2010 and passed away recently in September of 2025. She was my second childhood pet, but she is the cat I grew up with. We don't know her exact birthday, but she was about 3 years old when we adopted her, putting her at around 18 years old when she passed away. Muffin used to be so scared of people, constantly hiding under the bed upstairs. But she once tore her ACL a few years ago and came back from the operating room as a totally different cat. She began socializing more and exploring the outdoors (supervised, of course). She would sit and watch over the kitchen, and when she wasn't on guard, she was sleeping or sitting in her cardboard box. I'm glad I got to spend the summer with her before she passed.
